PAU Press to publish Onobhayedo’s Web and Mobile Applications book

Pan-Atlantic University Press will be publishing a ground breaking work on web and mobile apps. Foundations for React-Driven Web and Mobile Applications Development. The author of the book is one of Africa’s most respected IT specialist and PAU faculty member, Dr Pius Onobhayedo.

“Foundations for React-Driven Web and Mobile Applications Development” is not just to people who are just starting their journey in web development but also to established web developers who would like to strengthen their foundations. Chukwuemeka Afigbo, Senior Director at Okta, San Francisco, California, United States describes the manuscript as: “a book is written by someone who not only came up within the African context but has mentored many within that context to become world beaters and so he understands what it means to become a software developer in our environment. During my days as a young student of computer programming, I never saw a textbook or any piece of literature of this quality with pictures of Africans or people who looked like me in it. If these textbooks existed, maybe the global programming landscape would look very different today.”

Dr. Pius Onobhayedo is the Head, Department of Computer Science, School of Science and Technology, Pan-Atlantic University. His expertise includes IT-driven organizational creativity, innovation & process/workflow efficiency; new media (including social media and cloud computing) design, implementation and effective adoption strategies; IT-driven harnessing of collective intelligence. Prior to joining the Pan-Atlantic University as a faculty, he was the founding technology lead and Chief Technology Officer of Socketworks and SWGlobal, both of which are Internet generation software companies. He holds a PhD degree from the University of Navarra, Spain. His distinction-awarded thesis had to do with the effective use of information technology innovations as effective and efficient communications media.
