Call for Book Proposals
The Editorial Board of Africa Interdisciplinary Series (AIS) of Pan-Atlantic University Press is glad to announce the call for scholarly book proposals that explore and advance Africa’s positioning within the global economy, while examining the interplay between trade, migration, and digital transformation. Focusing on Africa’s integration into the global landscape, this call also seeks to highlight actionable intra-African strategies and innovations—such as African-led investments, regional collaborations, and intra-continental trade—that can strengthen Africa’s role and influence in the global arena.
This book series will address economic participation, the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), global value chains, migration, and digital technologies, providing a nuanced understanding of Africa’s evolving dynamics. It will also emphasise the importance of leveraging Africa’s unique resources, indigenous knowledge systems, and creative innovations to drive sustainable development and enhance global influence.
Our objective is to create a dynamic resource that will serve as a reference for policymakers, academics, activists, and practitioners. This resource will offer actionable insights at the intersection of trade, migration, and digital transformation, shaping Africa’s global positioning while promoting development and influence.

About Africa Interdisciplinary Series
African Interdisciplinary Studies (AIS) of Pan-Atlantic University Press, represents a unique contribution to Africa’s intellectual discourse by promoting interdisciplinary research that explores the intersection of business, media, philosophy, and politics. While substantial research exists within each of these fields, few publications celebrate their interplay. AIS seeks to address this gap by publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed books, including authored, multi-authored, edited, and co-edited volumes, that reflect the interconnectedness of these disciplines in the African context.
The primary aim of AIS is to bridge the gaps between research, policy, and practice by publishing and disseminating works that intersect these domains, highlighting their collective contributions to Africa’s development and advancement. The groundbreaking series will encourage scholars to explore the synergies between these subject areas, offering fresh perspectives on issues facing Africa today.
Specific objectives of AIS include:
- Advancing African Solutions: To highlight African perspectives, theories, and solutions to global and local challenges, thereby contributing to Africa’s knowledge economy and advancing its intellectual autonomy.
- Promoting Interdisciplinary Scholarship: To encourage academic exploration that cuts across business, media, philosophy, and politics, facilitating research that recognises the interconnectedness of these disciplines in addressing societal challenges in Africa.
- Enhancing Intellectual Discourse: To provide a platform for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to contribute to Africa’s intellectual landscape through research that informs policy and practice.
