On August 15, 2024, Professor Enase Okonedo, Vice-Chancellor of Pan-Atlantic University, approved the appointment of an Editorial Board for the African Interdisciplinary Series (AIS) – a multi-authored book series in Business, Media, Philosophy and Politics to be published by Pan-Atlantic University Press.
The newly appointed members of the AIS’ Editorial Board include Professor Sherwat Elwan Ibrahim (School of Business, American University, Cairo, Egypt), Professor Piet Naudé (Stellenbosch Business School, South Africa), Professor Olatunji A. Oyeshile (Department of Philosophy, University of Ibadan), Professor Ogechi Adeola (Deputy Vice-Chancellor – Academics, University of Kigali, Rwanda).
Others are Professor Kemi Ogunyemi (Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos), Dr Ngozi Okpara (School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos) and Dr Dércio Tsandzana (Department of Political Science, Eduardo Mondlane University, Maputo, Mozambique).
The AIS is PAU Press’s unique contribution to Africa’s intellectual discourses in business, media, philosophy and politics in Africa. While there’s copious research conversation within isolated silos of each subject area, there are few publications that celebrate their intersectionality. The AIS aims to fill this void by publishing high-quality intersectional academic multi-authored books that straddle research, policy and practice in business, media, philosophy and politics in Africa.
The appointment as members of the Editorial Board is for a two-year tenure beginning on August 15, 2025. The board is expected to provide thematic direction for the AIS annual call for book proposals and advise the Press on the best chapter proposal for publication each year.
